Do I have to be Filipina/o/x to apply?

Yes, this program is available for artists and creatives who are of Filipina/o/x descent, and are residents of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Do I need a finished concept for my application?

If you have a portfolio (a link to Instagram with artworks, website, or even link to a google folder or slide deck), then a finished concept is not necessary if you have similar works we can refer to.

Can I apply as a family?

Yes, we are encouraging siblings, cousins, and families to apply to both opportunities. For the “Kapwa in Excelsior” youth artist opportunity, families may apply as long as the experience of the youth is centered in your application.

Can I apply as a collective?

Yes! You can apply with a collaborator, a group of artists, or even as a class.
